What is CELEBREX RELIEF®?
CELEBREX RELIEF® is a pain reliever that is available from your pharmacist without a prescription. It can start working in ~30 minutes* and can last the working day, with simple dosing just once or twice a day.1-2^

^ Directions – First Day: Initial Dose 2 capsules. Subsequent Days: 1 capsule once or twice daily, as required (no more than 4 days). A working day is typically 8-12 hours.
How does CELEBREX RELIEF® work?
CELEBREX RELIEF® contains the active ingredient celecoxib.1
Celecoxib is a cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) selective inhibitor, a member of a larger group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs. It works by blocking the COX-2 enzyme, which reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation.1,3
What conditions can CELEBREX RELIEF® treat?
CELEBREX RELIEF® can be used for short-term relief from acute pain in the following conditions:1
- Muscle and joint injuries, including back pain, shoulder pain and ankle sprain.
- Menstrual cramps or period pain.
How much should I take?
For muscle and joint injuries:1
- First day: 2 capsules (initial does), as a single dose
- Subsequent days: 1 capsule once or twice daily as required (maximum 2 capsules in 24 hours).
- You may take CELEBREX RELIEF® for up to 5 days.
For menstrual cramps or period pain:1
- First day: 2 capsules (initial dose), as a single or divided dose.
- Subsequent days: 1 capsule once daily as required.
- You may take an additional capsule on any given day, if needed.
- You may take CELEBREX RELIEF® for up to 5 days.
How long can I take it for?
CELEBREX RELIEF® is usually taken for a short time only, for up to 5 days.1
CELEBREX RELIEF® will not cure your condition but should help control pain, swelling and stiffness. Do not use for more than 5 days unless advised by your doctor.1
Does CELEBREX RELIEF® need to be taken with food?
CELEBREX RELIEF® can be taken with or without food. Simply swallow the capsules whole with a full glass of water.1
Are there any side effects?
All medicines can have side effects. If you do experience any side effects, most of them are minor and temporary. However, some side effects may need medical attention.1
If you are over 65 years of age or taking this medicine for a longer duration than recommended, you may have an increased chance of getting side effects.1
Can I take CELEBREX RELIEF® with other medicines?
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any medicines, vitamins or supplements that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.1
Some medicines may interfere with CELEBREX RELIEF® and affect how it works. Your pharmacist and doctor have more information on medicines to be careful with or avoid while taking this medicine. Check with your pharmacist or doctor if you are not sure about what medicines, vitamins or supplements you are taking and if these affect CELEBREX RELIEF®.1

Can I take CELEBREX RELIEF during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding?
CELEBREX RELIEF® use is not recommended in pregnancy unless your doctor considers it essential. If you are taking this medicine while pregnant, you may need to be closely monitored by your doctor.1
Do not take CELEBREX RELIEF if you are in the last 3 months of your pregnancy.1
Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed. Small amounts of celecoxib passes into breast milk, therefore taking this medicine during breast-feeding should be discussed with your doctor.1
